Business-Improvement-Audit.pngIs your staff’s performance falling short of your expectations? Are you wondering why your trained people still aren’t doing what they should? Or perhaps you’re just not sure if there are cracks in your systems that are allowing sales to slip away. The dynamics within every business are unique. Over the years we have heard the saying “My business is different.” In fact, the differences may be in your company’s core competencies, values and operating methods. The business of retailing, however, is quite comparable.

Prior to any training or custom program development, our goal is to really get to know you and your culture, as well as your ability for strategic and tactical implementation. We call this a Business Improvement Audit (BIA). Only after completing either a Business Improvement Audit can we design a program that will help you achieve your sales and productivity objectives.

Our senior staff members are retailers who have been trained to be sensitive to each company’s needs and the ultimate goal. Our objectives are simple—find productivity holes, and fill them.

A training needs assessment is a tool used to identify exactly what types of training or learning activities employee groups need to become more effective and productive. Because custom training and development can be costly whether you do it in-house or outsource—a needs assessment is the perfect start when you’re not exactly sure what you need to solve your performance issues.

The BIAs are accomplished through a series of activities completed during 2-5 days that may include a visit to your site by one of our highly trained and experienced consultants. During the audit, your Friedman consultant may conduct interviews with staff, management and senior executives, complete a series of store visitations and complete a comprehensive questionnaire about the fundamental standards and systems that exist within your business. The BIA concludes with a debriefing of our findings. During the debriefing you will have the benefit of an outsider’s viewpoint.

The extensive performance improvements experienced by our past clients have been directly attributable to a thorough up-front Business Improvement Audit or Needs Assessment prior to the development of their custom programs. Contact us today to learn how we can design programs and training to elevate your organizations productivity.
